Parable of the Ten Minas

Luke 19:11-27

Jesus is a King in Waiting

1. Serve now. Reign later.
2. The kingdom has been postponed and will be inaugurated in God’s timing.
3. We will give account to the King.
   1. Faithful servants will be rewarded.
   2. Unfaithful servants will lose reward.
   3. Enemy citizens will be slaughtered.

There are 4 questions we should ask:

1. Am I behaving like a servant or an entitled citizen?
2. Are there any ways I am acting hostile toward you?
3. Are worldly things or peer pressure affecting my affection for you?
4. Who or what are you calling me to be faithful to?
