Why Christmas?

Luke 2:8-20

We won’t understand the glory and beauty of Christmas, if we don’t understand the why behind it.

Christmas is good news:

1. Because we are separated
   a. We are born separated
   b. We are headed for eternal separation
2. Because we are unable to save ourselves
3. Because we are delusional
4. Because we are under judgement
5. Because we are hopeless

NOW ENTER THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS!

• We were Separated – BUT THROUGH CHRIST – We have been united.
• We were Unable – BUT THROUGH CHRIST – who is able, all things are possible.
• We were Delusional – BUT THROUGH CHRIST, we see the truth clearly.
• We were under Judgement – BUT THROUGH CHRIST – we are forgiven and declared righteous.
• We were hopeless – BUT THROUGH CHRIST – we have Hope.
