Key Players of the Tribulation

Revelation 12:1-13:18

I. The Woman (Revelation 12:1-2)

Identity of the woman:

1. Similarities to Joseph’s dream in (Genesis 37:9-11).
2. Isaiah describes Israel as a travailing woman (Isaiah 26:17-18; Isaiah 66:7-8).
3. The woman was present at the birth of Christ.
4. The woman gave birth to Jesus.

II. The Dragon (Revelation 12:3-17)

1. The Past (Revelation 12:3-5)
2. Middle of the Tribulation (Revelation 12:6-12)
3. Second half of the Tribulation (Revelation 12:13-17)

III. The Beast (Revelation 13:1-10)

IV. The False Prophet (Revelation 13:11-18)

Applications:
We overcome the devil (Revelation 12:11):

1. By the blood of the Lamb
2. By an open testimony.
3. By self-denial to the extent of martyrdom

God’s perfect justice inspires us to endure and hold the faith (Revelation 13:9-10).
