Luke 24:1-53
1. The historical event: What happened. The facts of the event. The evidence.
2. The providential purpose. Why it happened. What God was accomplishing in the event.
1 Corinthians 15:3
δεῖ (dei) “it is necessary”. “What should or must happen or what is absolutely necessary.”
Practically – Necessity in reference to what is required to attain some end.
Theologically – Necessity established by the counsel and decree of God, especially by that purpose of his which relates to the salvation of men by the intervention of Christ.

Why did it have to happen this way?
Because – Our biggest problem isn’t the enemies around us, but the sin within us.

Final Truth – Jesus has made the way:
Anyone who would be saved MUST go through him.
Anyone who would perish, MUST go past him.
