November’s youth activity is a hike! I’m so excited to be going hiking, especially on such a beautiful trail with a waterfall! I love hiking! We’ll be going rain or shine. You all have rain jackets just in case, right? I’m sure as we walk you’ll get to hear about some of the backpacking adventures Mr. Jon and I have had. You’ll have to ask him about the time on the island of Kauai when a storm came up and he almost blew off a steep cliff and plummeted to his death in the ocean below. Don’t worry, nothing like that will happen on this trip. ?
Schedule:
9:00 Meet at the church
9:15 Drive to the trail
10:00 Hike for 2-3 hours
12:45 Drive back to the church
1:30 Lunch at the church
2:30 Clean up and head home
We’re all going to be very hungry after hiking, so we’re going to have lunch together at the church. We’ll need some families to volunteer to help with food. Depending on how many want to go, we may also need a couple parents who are willing to drive. Any parent who wants to come along on the hike and be a driver can just let me know.
There will be an online sign-up with a waiver that everyone will need to fill out. I will make sure you know when that’s available.
