We desire to be a church that:
-
Glorifies God Supremely
We were created by God and for God, and want everything we do to bring honor and glory to Him. As a church we glorify Him by living fully surrendered lives, demonstrated through our worship, love, praise, service, and obedience.
1 Corinthians 10:31, Romans 12:1-2, John 12: 27-28 -
Proclaims Jesus boldly
Jesus is the hope of the world and so we lift up and proclaim His name above all others. We are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ and we carry his name boldly wherever we go and in everything we do. He must become greater, we must become less.
Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Romans 1:16, John 3:30 -
Teaches Biblically
The Bible is the authoritative word of God and it is the foundation we stand on. We teach His Word without apology and without compromise. The goal in our teaching is simple: to see lives changed by growing in knowledge and obedience to Jesus.
Ephesians 4:11-12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12 -
Focuses Missionally
Jesus has given us a clear mission, and this mission serves as our filter for everything that we do. This means sometimes we say “no” to church programs so we can focus on what will further the mission of God in our valley and in our world. At Hope Valley, our structure, budgets, gatherings, and events reflect our commitment to the mission of God.
2 Corinthians 5:20, Matthew 28:19-20, John 20:21 -
Gathers Intentionally
God designed us for community. We gather together in large group worship and small group Hope Communites, and we do so with purpose. We gather in environments that cultivate a growing relationship with Jesus through prayer, bible study, encouragement, love, service and accountability.
Hebrews 10: 24-25, Hebrews 4:12-13, Acts 2:42-47 -
Multiplies Locally and Globally
We are called to be a church that gathers and scatters. As a scattering church, we desire to make disciples and start gospel-centered, reproducing churches in our valley and throughout the world.
Acts 1:8, Acts 2:47, Matthew 24:14
