It is with great joy that we share with you the burden and call that the Lord placed on us for planting this church in the New River Valley area.
In December of 2017, we (Jared, Kevin, and Heath) began meeting regularly to pray about beginning a new gospel work in the New River Valley. We had a deep burden over the lostness and brokenness in our community and a desire to reach people with the gospel.
After many weeks of meeting and praying, God began to birth in us the vision for Hope Valley Church: to reach our valley with the hope that is only found in Jesus. We have a simple mission: to see our valley changed by the gospel, trained in the gospel, and sent out with the gospel. We want to be a church that aggressively pursues the mission that Jesus gave us to make disciples locally and globally.
Hope Valley began with three small groups meeting in homes and officially launched with large group worship in the fall of 2018.
Our Mission: To see every person changed by the gospel, trained in the gospel and sent out with the gospel.
Our Vision: To reach our valley with the hope that is only found in Jesus and see lives transformed by the grace of God. Disciples will grow in knowledge and obedience in the context of missional small-group communities and sound biblical preaching during large group worship. We will be a multi-generational church of spiritually strong families committed to multiplying disciples and churches for the glory of God.
